When we sit behind the wheel, we always make sure that our seat belts are fastened, we have enough fuel, and there are no issues with our vehicle. If you drive a BMW, there’s probably the perennial warning light of some sort on the dash, but you are forgiven for ignoring this. However, one thing we may seem to forget, is, are we wearing suitable footwear to drive?
As we already know, expert evidence can play an extremely important part of your claim, which is why selecting the right expert is imperative. See our blog on instructing the correct expert for more information on this, by following the link below:

Looking now more specifically, what do we think of when we say expert witness? MG Legal’s team, like any other, interpret this as meaning an individual supplying expert evidence would be an expert within their field. The expert would use their expertise to help propel the claim by giving evidence.
It’s a phrase that you probably won’t have heard in everyday life. However, it’s something that could affect you if you are ever the victim of any multitude of Personal Injury accidents, including an accident at work, a slip, trip or fall, or if you are the victim of medical negligence. Your Personal Injury Solicitors Preston will be able to advise you on whether you can make a claim, if you have suffered from any injury that was not your fault.

The ‘Egg-Shell Skull’ rule is a principle developed by the Court, which was notably used in the case of Owens v Liverpool Corp [1939] 1 KB 394, in which MacKinnon LJ held that “it is no answer to a claim for a fractured skull that its owner had an unusually fragile one”. Put in simple terms, a claimant must be taken as they are, and not treated differently because they have a pre-existing health condition.
You’ve been injured at work, injured in a road traffic accident, or bashed your head after tripping over a defect in the local high street. So what do you do? Well, before contacting your nearest personal injury solicitors, you attend A&E, your local Accident an Emergency Department, where, most of the time at least, you’ll be extremely well looked after, by everyone from the receptionist, to the triage nurse attending upon you.
When liability is disputed, and the parties to a road traffic accident cannot agree who was at fault, then sometimes, your local personal injury solicitors will advise you to issue legal proceedings against the motorist you believe to be at fault.
Two cars, one black and one blue, that have collided - the blue one having crashed into the rear of the black car.
Ok, the answer to this is one isn’t simple. As your local personal injury solicitors will tell you, the ‘at fault’ party’s insurer do have a few tricks up their sleeve when it comes to settling a claim.

For example, any personal injury firm laments about about certain insurer who used to accost their personal injury clients on their doorstep, and badger them into accepting a low settlement offer, subject to payment being made on the spot, and there being no fees payable to their 'lawyer'. Fortunately, those days are gone, and your local personal injury solicitors, MG Legal, will always advise our clients to wait for the opportune moment..
The Health and Safety Executive, HSE defines stress as ‘the adverse reaction people have to excessive pressures or other types of demand placed on them’.
In a world where social media filters are used on a daily basis to hide how we really look, and HD TV shows all our wrinkles and defects, many of us don’t feel too comfortable out there in the real world, and we decided to have a nip or a tuck, botox fillers, or even dental braces, to give us the perfect smile.
In any sport, from boxing to ballet and beyond, there’s always the chance that any one of us, can, and will be injured.

According to a recent survey, the most common sporting injuries are, in no particular order: shin splints, sciatica, pulled hamstring, torn cruciate ligament, concussion, and the good old-fashioned groin pull. And yet it may not always be the person partaking in the sport that gets injured, MG Legal, accident injury solicitors in Lancaster, have also successfully helped those just spectating, receive an award of compensation, too!
Apparently, the passing of the Civil Liability Bill will stop insurance fraud arising from road traffic accidents. Aviva, insurers of 1 in 4 motor vehicles in the UK, will say that last year, 2017, it detected £59 million pounds worth of fraudulent injury claims (the writer is unsure if this sum relates also to vehicle damages, credit hire, and solicitors’ costs, arising out of the road traffic accident claims). Aviva, obviously jubilant in the knowledge that the Civil Liability Bill has passed though the Commons, and the Lords, will say that they are presently investigating more than 17,000.00 road traffic accident claims they believe to be fraudulent, and that motor insurance accounts for 60% of all fraud detected by their offices.
