What is a school injury claim?
If your child has been injured at school, or you have been injured on the school premises, then you could be entitled to make a claim for financial compensation through a school injury claim. A school injury claim is made with specialist solicitors, such as those at MG Legal, in order to get injured people the justice and compensation that they deserve.
All schools have a legal duty of care to protect both pupils and visitors while on the school premises, and to take all possible action to protect them from injury or illness. Should the school break this duty of care and you or your child have been injured in any way, then you should get in touch with our solicitors today about making a no win no fee school injury claim. Our team can help your child get the medical treatment they need, as well as the maximum financial compensation for you and your family in your school injury claim.
Can I sue a teacher?
While this duty of care applies to the school as a whole, it is more than likely that your child’s individual class teacher will be the one designated to supervise them and prevent them from injury for the large majority of the time that they spend at school. This makes it more than likely that if you are looking to make a claim for personal injury in a school accident claim, that it will be due to the negligence of a specific teacher or individual.
Still, this is not always the case. It could be that your child has been injured due to the negligence of another individual, such as someone visiting the school, or on a school trip.
It is for this reason that school accident claims can be particularly difficult, and it can be hard to establish when exactly a school is responsible for an accident causing injury to a child. Because of this, it is always best to seek expert legal advice from a specialist injury in school compensation claims solicitors. MG Legal’s personal injury solicitors specialising in injured at school compensation claims, can be contacted here for a no-obligation chat about your situation and potential claim.

Food unsafely cooked by the school cafeteria, causing foreign objects in food causing injury, or food poisoning, and leading to a subsequent school accident claim
Faulty or damaged facilities, such as sharp edges from broken furniture, wet floors from unmarked spillages, or unsafe stairs and stairwells
School accident claims for a lack of security policies and supervision, leading to your child being exposed to outside dangers and becoming injured
School accident claims caused by ineffective rescue plans in the case of an emergency
Accidents on school trips leading to school accident claims
