Mother’s Day is more commonly known as Mothering Sunday, and is said to originate from 16th Century, when people returned to their mother church (the place where they were baptised or their nearest church) to attend the Laetare Sunday service (a service held on the fourth Sunday of Lent). The religious meaning behind the day is said to have kept it’s place over the years, until the 1950’s, where it became a common-place celebration across the UK.

When we are unfortunate enough to have a Road Traffic Accident the first casualty is your car, with the repairs needed ranging from a scratch to major structural damage. Occupants are also likely to be injured and it is your right to make a personal injury claim if you are.

These days, a lot of people have fully comprehensive insurance but many do not or, if the accident is not your fault, you might want to spare losing your no-claims bonus and paying a policy excess and instruct MG Legal, your local solicitor in Preston.

As specialist local personal injury solicitors in Preston this allows a more personal approach than your indifferent ‘conveyor belt’ in-house firms insurance companies often use.

What is a notice in conveyancing?

A notice is something that can be registered against the Title to a property as a form of protection to someone with an interest in a particular property. Such notices must be registered, by your Garstang solicitor, via the Land Registry Portal.

The conveyancing solicitor Preston should complete an application form which, dependent on the type of notice being registered, can vary. These forms include AN1 (Agreed Notice) or UN1 (Unilateral Notice), for example. We do, however, understand that these terms may mean very little to you, which is why our specialist team of Garstang solicitors are on hand to advise you of exactly what is required and to guide you through the process.
When liability is disputed, and the parties to a road traffic accident cannot agree who was at fault, then sometimes, your local personal injury solicitors will advise you to issue legal proceedings against the motorist you believe to be at fault.

In a world where social media filters are used on a daily basis to hide how we really look, and HD TV shows all our wrinkles and defects, many of us don’t feel too comfortable out there in the real world, and we decided to have a nip or a tuck, botox fillers, or even dental braces, to give us the perfect smile.
In any sport, from boxing to ballet and beyond, there’s always the chance that any one of us, can, and will be injured.

According to a recent survey, the most common sporting injuries are, in no particular order: shin splints, sciatica, pulled hamstring, torn cruciate ligament, concussion, and the good old-fashioned groin pull. And yet it may not always be the person partaking in the sport that gets injured, MG Legal, accident injury solicitors in Lancaster, have also successfully helped those just spectating, receive an award of compensation, too!

“How do you want to own your property?”

“I just want to own it.”

When you purchase a property with someone else it is called “co-ownership” and all cases of co-ownership tend to give rise to a trust of land.

With any form of co-ownership all of the legal co-owners must join in any future disposition of the property. If there was a dispute which when to court, for example, then the Court may make whatever order it sees fit but the Courts will generally take into account why the property was bought.
