MG Legal's Legal Services over Christmas
Posted on 29th November 2019
The Christmas period generally proves to be a lot of businesses’ quietest times of the year, if their services aren’t Christmas-related.
For example, as your local solicitors in Longridge, our team find that many of our clients don’t wish to proceed over the Christmas period, as December is an expensive time of the month, without adding legal fees into the mix. For some of our clients, they would rather not think about things like making their Lasting Powers of Attorney whilst contemplating which meat they’re having with their Christmas dinner.
However, according to research carried out a couple of years ago by Moneypenny, the legal industry receives over 26,000 calls, which are answered by the UK’s leading telephone answering specialist on behalf of a range of legal firms, from 19th December to 3rd January.
Bernadette Bennett, Moneypenny’s Legal Commercial Manager, explained in the article on todaysconveyancer.co.uk, that research demonstrates that Wills and Probate enquiries increased on Tuesday 29th December by 23%, compared to an average Tuesday in December.
Likewise, the number of enquiries increased by 49% on Wednesday 30th December, compared to an average Wednesday in December, and 31% compared to an average Thursday.
Bernadette explains that firms presume that the Christmas period will be quieter than other times of the year, however ensuring that measures are put in place to help new enquiries received, and to ensure that people are able to access assistance.
Whilst our offices in Longridge, Lancaster and Garstang will be closed from 5pm on 23rd December to 2nd January, you can contact our team via email at enquiries@mglegal.co.uk, and a member of our team will get back to you as soon as they can. If your email isn’t urgent, our team will contact you when they’re back in the office. However, if we can help over the Christmas period, our team will be in contact with you.
So, if you need legal assistance over Christmas, don’t worry; our team are still here for you. Contact us via email to find out how we can help.
