Philip Cranage Senior Litigator
Philip Cranage and our Mark Gregory have worked together in the legal field for more than 12 years.
Specialising in Personal Injury, Dispute Resolution and Landlord and Tenant Disputes (basically evicting unwanted Tenants), Phil’s drafting and negotiating skills are a sight to behold.
Not one to hold back, Phil will put everything he has into his investigations and his tenacity has made Phil part of MG Legal’s core members.
Mark Gregory Principal Solicitor
Mark Gregory is the “MG” in MG Legal.
Unhappy with the way some bigger city firms were handling matters, in 2010 Mark decided to bring back traditional values, and formed MG Legal. The mantra was simple: employ nothing but properly qualified, amazing people, to give clients the service that they deserve.
It wasn’t easy. There are so many ‘chancers’ in the legal industry… and we knew we had to stand firm, and wait for the right people to work with us. We did, and 8 years on, MG Legal has an amazing team behind it, and a client base, second-to-none, with nothing but glowing reviews from private, and business clientele, alike.
Despite heading up the firm, Mark is always contactable, and accepts instruction on matters relating to Personal Injury (from Traffic Accidents, Medical Negligence, to Holiday Illness), Commercial Disputes, Business Leases, Employment Law, and Conveyancing.
Maybe it’s the hours spent on every client’s matter, the guile and expertise he has acquired over the years, or the fact that he has a team, including Philip Cranage behind him: who knows? But, Mark, after accepting thousands of client instructions, has a success rate in excess of 99%.
Mark gains most of his clients through recommendations, and is always interested in discussing new instructions, and business ventures.
Hope Jordan Office Administrator
An aspiring Wills & Probate Solicitor, after being with the firm for only 6 years, Hope knows more about the law than most qualified solicitors at other law firms (you know who you are!!).
A huge help to others, there’s very little that Hope can’t do. From drafting Court Petitions, to I.T. and ensuring that clients are up-to-date ...
... completely apprised of the present position of their legal matter and fastidiously looked after (that said, her cups of tea are rather poor – once tried, never forgotten!!).
A real asset, Hope is presently studying an Open University Law Degree, and in the not-so-distant-future, we are going to have another top-rate solicitor on our hands at MG Legal.
Chloe Cardwell Trainee Solicitor
Trying to steal principal solicitor Mark Gregory’s thunder, Chloe turned up in June of 2016, with not just a Law Degree, but a Masters in Law, too!
As you could imagine, we had to have her on board!
Michael Glover Residential and Commercial Property Lawyer
Having qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in March 1983 after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University, Mike has 35 years’ worth of experience dealing with Property Transactions ranging from Residential Sales and Purchases to Commercial Leases and Acquisitions of Land, be it Agricultural or Commercial.
Efficient and friendly, Mike has worked for firms all over Lancashire, developing his knowledge of the local area and building a relationship with the local people.
Working closely alongside Mike is Chloe, and between them, they will make sure that you have the best experience possible when buying or selling a property, or land.
Sara Williams Family Lawyer
An experienced lawyer with over 14 years’ dealing with family matters, and some 20 plus years in the legal industry, Sara joined MG Legal to head the family department in 2016, after 16 years with her previous firm.
A great listener, a master tactician, and a truly excellent advocate in court, Sara covers a range of family matters from simple divorces, to child contact and intricate financial matters.
Timothy Sutcliffe Solicitor Wills & Probate Department
Solicitor Tim joined the team in 2019, working in the Wills and Probate Department, advising clients on all aspects of estate and future planning, for our younger and older clients alike!
Tim has a breadth of knowledge about all areas Private-Client-law-related, and can draft your Will, help you make Lasting Powers of Attorney, and even deal with your loved one's estate after their passing, with an efficient and personal service.
If you need advice about putting your assets into a Trust, or making sure that you provide for your loved ones on your death, Tim can see you for a free initial consultation, either in one of our offices - Lancaster, Longridge or Garstang, or he can discuss your requirements over the 'phone.
Tim offers services for the elderly, with jargon-free advice and home visits (usually at no extra cost), for those who just aren't able to attend our offices.
So, if you want to talk to Tim, you can contact him using the form here, or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lynsey Oldham Accounts
Legal cashier Lynsey, along with our accountants, makes sure we’re all above board, and keeps the Tax man happy! At MG Legal, in an area that is massively scrutinised, we love Lynsey’s attention to detail and her conscientious attitude.
You can contact Lynsey at the Office or request a call back and someone will be in touch within 30 minutes during normal Office hours. Remember, our fixed fee Conveyancing, Divorce and ‘No Win, No fee’ Personal Injury services all offer the personal touch.
Lucinda Wyer Legal Secretary
Joining the team in November 2018, Lucinda has hit the ground running. Lucinda is a legal secretary in our Family Department, and assists Sara Williams to help keep clients fully up-to-date with their matters.
Sarah Lees Trainee Solicitor
Not stopping there, Sarah will be working with the Civil team dealing with Personal Injury compensation claims (on a "No Win, No Fee" basis) and will then move into her full-time role.
From a farming background, in her free time, Sarah enjoys a whole host of other activities, including Milking and Horse Riding.
"Great service from MG Legal and after service was great too. Down to earth staff, very pleased with the result. Would definitely recommend."
