What is the process for making an online Will?
First of all, contact our team of Wills Solicitors in Longridge, Garstang or Lancaster, using our online form, email us at wills@mglegal.co.uk, or call your local office.
If you choose to fill in our online Wills form, upon receipt of your form, we will arrange a telephone appointment to discuss your initial requirements, and we can then take your instructions and provide us with expert advice in relation to drafting your Will.
Once we have confirmed your instructions, we will write out to you to confirm them – either by email, or first class post.
We’ll ask you to sign and return a copy of the documents (or confirm via email that you agree to our terms and are happy with your instructions), and make a payment on account of our costs. Once we have received both of these, we will arrange to send you out a draft Will (again, either via email or post – it’s your decision). If you’re happy with the draft, we can arrange for you to sign the final document. If you wish to make any amendments, just get in touch (via email, phone, or using our online contact form) and we can make these.
How long will the process take?
It usually takes around two weeks in total, depending how quickly you can return the documents to us. However, if you need your Will to be completed quickly, let us know and we can discuss the options with you. When absolutely needed, our Will writing experts have been known to get your Will drafted, the same day as they receive instruction.
