With a property transfer, these are the usual charges that we can quote you for. These are based on the property being registered with the Land Registry. Unregistered properties attract different Land Registry searches (SIM Search, OS1 and Land Charges Searches), which usually total £15.00 - £20.00.
Our Conveyancing Solicitors will always be upfront with our fees, and will always inform you of any disbursements that we can up front.
However, if there are any charges that we cannot quote upfront, we will make you aware of these as soon as possible during the transaction.

What are disbursements?
Disbursements are fees payable to third parties, which our Conveyancing Solicitors pay on your behalf during the course of your transaction. Disbursements are determined by third parties. Whilst we will include details of any usual disbursements in our quote, we are not able to confirm all fees payable, if we require this information after receiving sale documents or further information from third parties.
Land Registry Fees
You can find out what the usual Land Registration fees are on gov.uk, here, or you can contact our team who could calculate the fee payable on your behalf. If you are not sure whether the property is registered or un-registered, please don't panic: our expert property team will find out this information for you.
Management Company Fees
Leasehold properties often have the involvement of a Management Company, who will usually charge fees for being formally notified of the purchase following completion. These can include a Deed of Covenant, Notice of Assignment or equivalent. There may also be other fees payable. We cannot confirm these until we have sight of the Management Pack from your seller's solicitor.
"Great conveyancing service from Chloe C and Naomi K. This was a complex remortgage and was deftly handled by MG Legal Garstang. Clear communication throughout and helped to get the mortgage over the line on the last day of the stamp duty holiday. Support provided this year chasing up land registry delays and help with remortgage. Thoroughly recommend." - Ben M, via Google
