Conveyancing Solicitors on HSBC Panel.

Buying a property is an exciting time in your life. Whether it’s a flat, a dream home, or a project to make money on, when you are offered a mortgage by HSBC, they have certain, strict criteria, and they are:

Mortgage Amount

No. of partners in the firm

Under £350,000

1 solicitor / licensed conveyancer / regulated managers

£350,000 to £2 million

2 or 3 solicitors / licensed conveyancers / regulated managers

Over £2 million

4 or more solicitors / licensed conveyancers / regulated managers

You will be pleased to know that MG Legal’s property team consists of four highly experienced conveyancing solicitors, two of whom are Directors of the firm. We are therefore more than capable, of acting for you, and your chosen mortgage provider, HSBC, when you are ready for the conveyancing process to start.

Panel solicitors for HSBC

If you are buying a property in England and Wales, HSBC will only work with conveyancers that are registered with one of the following: Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Council for Licenced Conveyancers. All firms must have a minimum professional indemnity insurance cover of £2 million and for lending over £2 million, they must have professional indemnity insurance of £5 million. Any conveyancing solicitor approved by HSBC must be accredited to The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme.
You will be pleased to know that MG Legal’s conveyancing solicitors have held the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation, since 2013. We also hold indemnity insurance for £3 million.

Why use a solicitor on the HSBC panel?

If you choose a solicitor that is not on the HSBC panel of approved conveyancing solicitors, then you will be instructing one solicitor, and HSBC will be required to instruct another solicitor to act on their behalf, to accept mortgage funds, and other legalities. If this happens, you will also have to pay a legal fee for HSBC’s conveyancer, in addition to paying the legal costs to your own conveyancing solicitor; therefore paying two lots of legal fees.
It is far less costly, and far more effective to instruct a conveyancer on HSBC’s panel, such as MG Legal.

Why choose MG Legal's conveyancing solicitors on HSBC Panel?

Transparent fees.

Excellent communication.

We are the experts.

Multiple Office Locations.

When you get a mortgage to help purchase your new property, HSBC will require you to instruct a an appropriately qualified person to carry out the conveyancing work. HSBC, as with any other lender, want to make sure that the conveyancing process goes as smoothly as possible, and that, upon completion of your property purchase, transfer, or re-mortgage, the mortgage you have taken out with HSBC, is appropriately registered on the title deeds of your property.
When you have a mortgage with HSBC, tell them that you have instructed MG Legal’s conveyancing solicitors to assist you with your property purchase, or re-mortgage, and give them the details of our head office: MG Legal, 7 Pringle Court, Garstang, Preston, PR3 1LN. We have offices throughout the North of England, and Lancashire, including Garstang, Preston, Longridge, and of course our newest office in Lytham, on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire. At MG Legal, our conveyancing team are all fully-qualified solicitors, with local knowledge and specially trained in property law.
Our conveyancing solicitors accept instruction from clients with a HSBC mortgage, on a daily basis.

CQS Accredited Solicitors on HSBC Panel

The Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) is a recognised quality standard for SRA-regulated firms in residential conveyancing. It sets out the standards of competence, risk management and client service levels expected of practices. The CQS scheme first started in January 2011, and MG Legal’s conveyancing solicitors have held the accreditation since we first started accepting residential conveyancing work, in 2013. When your conveyancing solicitor holds the CQS accreditation, you can rest assured that they are competent in all aspects of conveyancing work.

Can HSBC Panel solicitors give mortgage advice?

Our conveyancing solicitors are great at what they do, and will carry out your property transaction, as quickly, and effectively as possible. However, the finer details of your HSBC mortgage are between you and your lender. If you are wondering how much of a mortgage HSBC will lend you, or what your monthly mortgage repayments will be, HSBC have prepared a mortgage repayment calculator, and you can view this by following this link, here
