How much does a single Will cost?

A single Will costs £175.00 plus VAT, which includes an initial appointment with a Will writer to discuss your Will requirements, receive advice about your estate, and answer any questions you might have about the process. This appointment generally last 30 minutes to 1 hour. We will prepare your Will, make reasonable amendments, and arrange for you to sign the final version. Our team will act as your witnesses, in one of our offices, or we can arrange to send your final Will to you with instructions on how to sign. Once signed, we will store your original Will and register it with Certainty, the National Will Register, all for no additonal cost.

What does a single Will do?

A single Will lets you make decisions about:

Which people or charities will benefit from your estate
Who will act as guardians for any minor children, i.e. who will care for them whilst they're under 18
Where your pets will go, when you're no longer around
When your estate will pass to your beneficiaries
Your executors, who will be responsbile for dealing with your estate

Making a Will as a single parent

Making a Will is often at the end of people's to-do lists, however, making a Will could be one of the most important steps to take when you're planning for your childrens' futures. If you die without a Will, you have no control over how your children will inherit, when they will inherit, or who will take care of them as their legal guardian. Instead, under statute, certain people will automatically take over control of your childrens' inheritance and living, normally their surviving parent.
