Wedding Menu Inspiration (or Menus to avoid!)
Posted on 11th September 2019
As you can imagine, your local family law solicitors don’t often get chance to deal with the nicer side of family law. Despite dealing with over 200 new matters yearly, most of them are limited to divorce, finances related to divorce or child contact issues, with a few less run-of-the-mill cases in between.
So, in the midst of these cases, it’s nice to be able to do a bit of light reading on wedding trends (and some not-so-trendy wedding choices).
Your local family law solicitors were happy to learn that an increasing trend in recent months, is to have a domino’s-catered wedding or – even better in our eyes – a domino’s pizza wedding cake!
Not content at just being involved in happy couple’s special days, Domino’s is now offering a chance to win 20 of your favourite large pizzas, including Pepperoni Passion, Hawaiian and Vegi Supreme, for your wedding day. So, if you know anyone interested, you can email TyingTheKnot@Dominos.co.uk.
Now, onto the less-appealing wedding menus …
A couple have placed an ad on bark.com asking for a chef with the right skills and passion for the environment to step forward and help them to cater their 30-guest wedding with the 20kg (give or take) of roadkill meat they’ve stockpiled in their freezer.
Honestly, our local family law solicitors were a bit put off by the menu (not that we were invited to try, obviously!), but if this sounds like something you would be interested in trying, here are some things to consider. Whilst it’s legal to eat roadkill, which have been killed accidentally and you’ve not attempted to sell, roadkill could also come with the added addition of being unsafe. Whereas farm-reared animals in the UK undergo health checks for diseases whilst they grow, roadkill obviously does not.
Although we can’t help with your wedding feast plans, we may be able to help if you know anyone who is unfortunate enough to be at the end of their marriage. Our divorce fees start from £395.00 plus VAT, and our local family law solicitors offer home visits, instalment plans, and fixed fees – just discuss it with the team by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or contact them at your local office, here.
