Solicitor's Fees - What to expect.

At MG Legal, we understand how overwhelming in can be to approach a Solicitors firm. Some solicitors trivialise how daunting it can be to start a legal matter, but at MG Legal, we appreciate that for some people, visiting a solicitor is not an everyday occurrence. As such, our aim is to modernise how solicitors are viewed, and help make legal services accessible- and approachable- for everyone.
We offer our new enquiries a free initial telephone consultation, and thereafter their matter can proceed on a fixed-fee or No Win No Fee basis. To help everyone access legal services from where they feel most comfortable, we offer home visits for those who are unable to come to our offices. Not everyone can do appointments during conventional office hours. As such, we offer out-of-hours appointments, to accommodate your legal matter, when you need us.
Visiting us
If you want to visit one of our offices in person, we’re based across Lancashire, with offices in Garstang, Lancaster, Longridge, and Lytham.
Our Solicitors in Garstang started out at 3-4 Thomas’s Weind, but have grown, and are now situated in the infamous Garstang Courier building, on the one-way system near to places such as Booths.
Our Solicitors in Lancaster were near the iconic Dalton Square, but have recently moved and are now based only a short walk from the Train station, at 1 Westbourne Road, right in the City centre.
Our Solicitors in Longridge, are based just off the centre of the main street, Berry Lane, with stair-free access to the rear of our building.
Finally, our Solicitors in Lytham are based at The Old Bakery, on Green Street, only a few minutes’ walk from the beautiful Lytham front, near Lytham Windmill.
Fixed-fees
At MG Legal, we are 100% transparent with our fees from the word go, and will, wherever possible, give you an estimate of fees upfront so that you know where you stand. Where we cannot do this, for example if we need further information from you or we need to see how matters progress initially, we will let you know what our fees are at the first opportunity.
Our Conveyancing Solicitors start their conveyancing fees from just £250 plus VAT, and will agree a fixed fee with you before you even instruct, so that you can make a decision based on our fees as well as our excellent levels of service. Our Wills Solicitors offer fixed fee Will drafting from just £175.00 plus VAT for a single Will, and £325.00 plus VAT for mirror Wills. Lasting Powers of Attorney (both financial decisions and health decisions) can be drafted by our Lasting Power of Attorney solicitors from as little as £300.00 plus VAT; we even offer reduced rates for couples making Lasting Powers of Attorney, making it only £750.00 plus VAT for four Lasting Powers of Attorney for two people.
Our No Win No Fee Solicitors can assist with both personal injury compensation claims and medical negligence compensation claims, all on a No Win No Fee basis, meaning you don’t pay a penny and, only if you’re successful, will our No Win No Fee solicitors take a fixed percentage of your awarded damages.
