Appeal: A1(M) Serious Collision between an HGV and Pedestrian

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision involving a HGV and a pedestrian on the A1(M) yesterday.(9 February)
Officers were called at 16.40 to the A1(M) at Ferrybridge Northbound between junction 41 and 42 to reports an HGV had been in collision with a male.
Officers were called to Wilbraham Road in Chorlton at around 3pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 July 2024) following a road traffic collision. Taking place at the junction with Lloyd Street South, it involved an Audi Q2 and off-road bike.The rider of the off-road bike, an 18-year-old suffered injuries that are believed to be life-threatening and is still receiving treatment.
At around 02:45 on 8 May 2024 a serious road traffic accident (RTA) occurred on the M40 Motorway, near Gaydon in Warwickshire. Two members of staff employed by Vital Rail who had been working at a Network Rail worksite at Hemel Hempstead were in a vehicle heading north which collided with a lorry.
Devon and Cornwall Police has issued an urgent message to road users, after a series of serious collisions in the South West of England.
