A bunch of forget-me-not flowers, the symbol of dementia; our Wills Solicitors in Preston discuss Dementia Action Week 2024.
With Dementia Action Week 2024 upon us, running from 13th May to 19th May, our Wills Solicitors in Preston discuss what kind of support is on offer for those living near our Preston office, and how we can help for those who find themselves or their loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

What is Dementia Action Week?

Dementia Action Week is an annual awareness campaign led by the Alzheimer’s Society, who works with individuals and organisations across the UK to encourage people to act on dementia

The Alzheimer’s Society offers lots of online support tools, including how to deal with memory loss, finding out what to expect when getting a dementia diagnosis, including the tests you may need to have carried out, and also they offer multiple channels of support for after-diagnosis.

How do MG Legal Support Dementia Action Week?

Over the past few years, we have worked with a local group to learn more about dementia, and to improve the services we offer to the communities we serve by making our offices more friendly for those of our clients who have been diagnosed with dementia. We undertook training from a local member of the organisation, and they helped us to understand how dementia impacted people’s lives.

Our Wills Solicitors in Preston made improvements to our office space, including adding signage to clearly mark areas of our office for our clients, and by improving the layout of our office to make it as accessible as possible for our clients.
