Conveyancing at Christmas

Before you start aimlessly typing searches into your search engine looking for “solicitors near me, solicitors in Manchester, solicitors in Lancashire, solicitors in Preston” the list goes on….embrace Christmas, put on your red hat and think “Nice List”. Write a list of all of the things you want from your Solicitor. Remember when you were little and you wanted that red bike with sparkly handlebars with multi-coloured tassels, a silver bell, a basket for your teddy bear and a white seat, and you wrote your list for Santa detailing all of specific criteria that your bike must have on Christmas day so that you weren’t disappointed? Well to avoid disappointment and to ensure that you are in your new home before Christmas, think about what you want. Don’t fall into the trap of instructing the cheapest Solicitors who have loads of added extras - that’s almost worse that receiving a pack of socks two sizes too small from your Aunt Linda with the moustache and gracefully accepting that slobbery kiss and cheek pinch she insists on giving you! 

 

Read the reviews; I can’t stress enough how important it is to read the reviews. The chances are that if 90% of the elves say that you’re on the naughty list, then at this late stage in the year that list won’t be changing a lot. Good reviews = the Nice List.
