An ongoing Trial in Guernsey this week is highlighting the devastating effects of negligence in a hospital setting. Two mental health nurses are currently being tried for the offence of Manslaughter having failed to carry out regular checks on a patient who was a known suicide risk.

The two nurses are accused not only of failing to carry out six consecutive checks, meant to be done at 15 minute intervals, but of falsifying records after the act to cover their tracks and to make it seem like they had carried out the checks.

Not all medical negligence has such a tragic ending, but the results can still be devastating for people who trust to the expertise of those looking after them. At MG Legal, your local Personal Injury Solicitors Preston, we take a personalised, understanding approach to all medical negligence cases. Whether you have received treatment without being fully advised of the risks, whether a treatment has gone wrong or if you were not given the treatment you should have had, or if the treatment simply wasn’t up to the required standard.

Our expert team believe that your care and that of your loved ones is paramount and that it should be the best it can possibly be. With a growing number of private healthcare organisations and increasing burden on the NHS, medical negligence occurs regularly, not as a result of the staff not caring but due to genuine error.

However, an error does not make it “ok”, and at MG Legal we believe in helping people get the awards they deserve and often need to help following medical negligence.

We know that after medical negligence, care costs, lost earnings and other expenses can be a drain on finances and it is important to not only get our clients the best possible compensation but also the monies to cover those unexpected out of pocket expenses.

Whilst this is not a pleasant topic and we would prefer this never to happen, if you find yourself the victim of medical negligence, our expert team are here to help, with our services usually offered on a Conditional Fee (no win no fee) Agreement basis and a friendly, personal and professional approach to minimise the stress of such an unpleasant incident.
