I have a Lasting Power of Attorney, do I need a will?
Yes. Another common misconception is that if you have a Lasting Power of Attorney, you don’t need a Will.
These are both completely separate legal documents. Your LPAs can be used only whilst you are still alive. Your Will would only come into effect once you have passed away. Therefore, it’s really important to have both in place. You can read our Wills FAQs, here.
