How many Executors can I appoint?
There is no limit on the number of executors you may appoint; however Probate will only be granted to a maximum of 4 executors.
For practical purposes, it is usual for a person to appoint 1 or 2 executors and to also perhaps consider appointing substitute executors. The substitute executors would act in the event that those first appointed either died before you or were otherwise unable or unwilling to act.
